Susan and I are back in business for 2016 providing painting workshop days in Suffolk.
Currently we are looking at early July to run the first workshop of the year. The location is beautiful with something for everyone. The stunning Hamilton Gardens, The Spa Pavilion at the beach hut strewn promenade of Felixstowe is our destination.
More details will be posted as they are confirmed. In the meantime, check out this link 🙂
“A Tranquil Place by the Sea” The Gardens developed as a result of the popularity in late Victorian times for visiting coastal locations, in pursuit of improved health and relaxation. The natural springs occurring along the cliffs, together with the proximity to the beach, encouraged the Gardens to be developed as a pleasure ground for people to take the spa waters.
The Gardens allowed visitors to promenade next to the sea, to enjoy the sea airand to take the reputed health giving qualities of the Felixstowe Spa water. Today, the Gardens still have much to offer residents, businesses and holiday-makers alike.
The Gardens extend approximately 1 kilometre and are situated close to the Pier and leisure centre.
Susan and I have had a brilliant week at our exhibition in Bury St Edmunds.
We had lots of visitors, sold artworks, prints and cards.
We did demonstrations every afternoon, and even completed some new artworks!
If you missed the show, here is a video of it just for you
Sales of artworks and prints including a print from Robin Maria Pedrero. We had 50 visitors today and we ended up doing several demonstrations, and during the breaks we managed to work on some new pieces too.
Firstly, here are some photos from the Private View:

And finally, works that Susan and I have been working on today:
After a fabulous Private View last night (photos to follow soon) we opened this morning to another sunny day where we could have all the doors and windows open. The gallery was looked inviting and we had lots of visitors and some sales.
During the afternoon we set up to do demonstrations. It felt good to be painting while people came in and browsed and then stopped for a chat before leaving.
We have paintings (watercolour and acrylic), framed illustrations, postcards, greeting cards, prints and more for sale. We are open 10.30am – 4.30pm everyday until Thursday afternoon.
We’ve had lots of lovely comments so far in our guestbook and to us personally that this is the best show Toot Arts has put on so far. We’d love to see you at some point if you can make it.
